Hisbah Board Announcement

Upholding Islamic Values

Dear Citizens of Kano State,

As custodians of Shari’a law and guardians of Islamic principles, the Hisbah Board reiterates its unwavering commitment to upholding the sacred tenets of our faith. Islam prohibits various vices such as alcohol consumption, gambling, prostitution, begging, hoarding, and black-marketing, which not only contravene divine law but also undermine the moral fabric of our society.

It is incumbent upon every Muslim to adhere to these prohibitions with sincerity and diligence, recognizing that they are ordained by Allah to safeguard our spiritual and temporal well-being. Moreover, engaging in such activities with flippancy or disregard for their detrimental effects is antithetical to the teachings of Islam and must be firmly addressed.

The Hisbah Board, therefore, underscores its duty to concentrate its efforts on combating these social ills and upholding the sanctity of Islamic law in Kano State. Through vigilant enforcement, education, and community outreach, we aim to eradicate these vices from our society and foster an environment conducive to righteousness and moral integrity.

We call upon all citizens to support the Hisbah Board in its mission to promote adherence to Islamic values and combat the scourge of vice and immorality. Together, let us strive to build a community founded on piety, justice, and compassion, in accordance with the noble teachings of Islam.

May Allah guide us in our endeavors and grant us success in our pursuit of righteousness.

With steadfast resolve,

The Hisbah Board of Kano State
