BRIEF HISTORY OF HISBAH IN KANO
It started as an independent body and later becomes a committee in the year 2000 under the leadership of Late Sheik Aminudeen Abubakar and finally became a fully legal entity under the state government Law. The Kano State Legislature enacted the first Hisbah Board Act in 2003, which was revised in 2005 and 2007.
